MANILA – The Philippine National Railways (PNR) launched on Monday its Malabon-Taguig train service with the opening of the PNR Governor Pascual Station.

The service, which runs from Gov. Pascual to FTI, will have a P25 fare for airconditioned coaches and P20 for non-airconditioned trains. Travel is estimated to take 58 minutes.

PNR said 4 trips will be available daily for the Tutuban-Gov. Pascual route, and 8 trips daily for the Gov. Pascual-FTI route.

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, however, clarified that Monday’s opening of the Malabon route was just a “dry run and soft opening.”

(I promise that when our new coaches arrive, those dilapidated trains will be replaced by June. If more coaches are needed in the future, we will get more coaches so that more people can ride.)
